Vagol

Welcome to your Adventure Log!
A blog for your campaign

Every campaign gets an Adventure Log, a blog for your adventures!

While the wiki is great for organizing your campaign world, it’s not the best way to chronicle your adventures. For that purpose, you need a blog!

The Adventure Log will allow you to chronologically order the happenings of your campaign. It serves as the record of what has passed. After each gaming session, come to the Adventure Log and write up what happened. In time, it will grow into a great story!

Best of all, each Adventure Log post is also a wiki page! You can link back and forth with your wiki, characters, and so forth as you wish.

One final tip: Before you jump in and try to write up the entire history for your campaign, take a deep breath. Rather than spending days writing and getting exhausted, I would suggest writing a quick “Story So Far” with only a summary. Then, get back to gaming! Grow your Adventure Log over time, rather than all at once.

Fosse background

Born in Vagol and living in The Hawkers.

Fosse was born and raised in Vagol. Her mother (Illyria) left her with her father (Red) at the age of two and has never been heard from again. Her father refuses to speak of her mother but when he does he scorns her very name. Her father and mother left the elemental chaos for Vagol a year before her birth. Details on why they left their home is unclear but from what she has discovered it has something to do with the two families disapproval of their union. Her mother was betrothed to a man who would bring power to her family but when she met Red, a sweet talking swindler she fled.

Fosse believes that her mother is most likely back in the elemental chaos where she left everything behind to repair her relationship with her family and never think Red and her child again. She swears to one day find her mother and ruin her for the hurt she caused.

Her father raised her in The Hawkers, teaching her the ways of being a con artist. From the age that she could walk he would lure innocent people into his tent with promises of fixing their problems. He promised to make sterile couples fertile with the reading of runes and elaborate rituals in exchange of every last penny they had. She learned quickly how a little song and dance could persuade helpless people to believe that they could have what their heart most desired. She also learned how to put on a show in order to pick pocket unsuspecting tourists.

Though Red taught Fosse to survive, he never offered a loving relationship to her. In fact, she was only told to call him by his first name and he made her work everyday to pull her own weight. When he died five years ago she resumed life without him using his tactics and tools to continue in his footsteps.

She spends her time conning and taking on adventuring jobs to fill her time and pay her bills. She is completely unable to have successful relationships of any kind because she is an emotionless selfish liar and thief unless it is beneficial to her in making money.

Mid-twenties

The case of the missing backup singer...

For 5 citizens of Vagol that night was like any other. A hard day followed by peaceful slumber. As they drift into deep sleep the strangers find themselves outside of Portal 51, the most exclusive club in Vagol. A long line has formed where individuals must meet the standards of two short orcs to get inside. The group notices a pink blur flash across the sky. Alain, naive to societal customs cuts to the front of the line and walks in. One orc stops him and asks him who he thinks he is. Alain casually explain that he is simply following the pink blur and the orc grudgingly lets him inside. Other members begin getting entrance into the club through similar flimsy excuses, but almost all mention the pink blur.

A singer has just taken the stage as they enter the club. She is a blue gemstone come to life. Her singing is mesmerizing and after a moment they realize she is not singing out loud, but inside their heads. While most of the group approach the stage and mil about in the pit, Harbek Ironbone (dwarven/fighter) makes his way into the common bar. Here he notices a female mul bartender who looks like the one he just saw in the pit. He also see a variety of strange people drinking, playing games, and itching for a fight. In the main area, Alain flirts with the singer, but he realizes this is just part of the act and she is not really interested in him. Fosse scans the room for spies, seeing eyes, or other security besides the Thri-Keen blocking the door next to the stage. She fails to notice 1 eye on each of the four ornate decorative pillars that are monitoring the room. The pink blur darts across the room this time going behind a velvet rope guarded by an incredibly tall and thin, blue genasi. While most of the party make their way to the fellow and begin using their silver tongues that got them into the club, Mord (orc/barbarian) recognizes an acquaintance from his old job. They talk briefly and his friend encourages him to go to the bar and have a couple of rounds of Moonsprite if he wants to get what this singer is all about. Mord makes his way to the bar. The female mul introduces herself and teases Mord that he’s not man enough to handle Moonsprite. Two rounds later the mul has a newfound respect for the young orc.

No one knows that this is still a dream…

Once everyone has made their way into the vip area, the pink blur slows down and officially introduces herself as Maddie. A pink gnome with spiky-white-hair and sass. She tells them that she needs them to do a job for her and the group agrees.

Fosse meets the pink blur...

…I followed the strange pink thing that woke me from my bed. I saw the strange golden-eyed man following it as well. I have never seen one of his kind before and I wondered why him and I were clearly the only people who saw it among the huge crowd outside the club. I watched as he struggled with that Orc to gain entrance in the club but as soon as he mentioned “Pink Blur” the dumb Orc let him in like it was nothing. After doing the same I gained entrance myself and followed the man.

The first thing I noticed was that Gods awful noise and the pathetic “artsy” types who were moving their heads like they actually liked it… idiots. The second thing I noticed where the strange pillars in the room. I tried to take a better look but my head was clouded somehow and it couldn’t get a good look. Then I looked for the sketchy types, you know what I mean. Besides the stupid looking Thrikreen in the corner I couldn’t tell much. Then the pink thing darts by me again and heads to the VIP section. I notice the tall Genasi guarding the entrance and use my usual tactics to slide on past.

Once inside I notice the golden-eyed man and a few other strangelings that saw the pink blur as well. Then she appears… She calls herself “Maddie” a tiny thing with a bad case of bed head. She says she has a job for us, someone is missing. Anything to mix it up a bit, I could use the cash anyway…

From there the real action happens. Who knew there was a huge underground part of the club. We began the search for Agatha as Mord insists on making fun of everyone’s mothers (he could have made fun of mine all her wanted, I hate that bitch…). Down the moldy stairway we heard the beetles. I am not sure how we got out of that mess but I am glad we have some hard-asses in this group. What happens next? Who knows… but I better get my money!
